Best short ATA bow you have shot

Looking for some input on ideas for a new bow. I was set on the DXT, but wanted to hear some experiences with other short ATA (31" or less) bows, and which ones you liked the best overall.

I've always tinkered around with short a-to-a bows, dating back to the Tech 29 and MQ32... without question, the best one I've ever handled is the Admiral.

Never thought I would be shooting short axle. I owned a DXT and like the Drenalin better. Currently shooting a 35" axle GT500. I really like this size bow. Get to short of axle like the DXT and the string angle to much for me.

Elite Z28 around 33" and that perfect.

Heard good things about the Admiral. I really want to try the X-Force Treestand (28" ATA), but am anticipating a draw cycle that would be uncomfortable at best.

I am shooting the '09 X-force Super Short (26" ata). The bow is a tack driver! I had nock pinch at first (29" draw combined with a short ata places the string on a very acute angle when fully drawn). I resolved the problem by serving both my top and lower d-loop knots in place-providing adequate room for my arrow nock. Now, the bow shoots like a dream. I look forward to taking her to Prince of Wales Island in ten days. More results pending...

The Alpha Max 32 is a great bow.

For me it would have to be the DXT. Just personal preference, what feels right to one person may not fit another.

Pretty big fan of the DXT, I really love the draw cycle, and the bow is a plenty fast along with little vibration and very quiet made it a great bow.

The Z28 encompasses an extremely smooth draw, forgiving brace height and quick speeds. We could talk about it all day, but the truth is in the shot.
Elite Z28 is an excellant choice for hunting in short axle. Smooth drawing and no shock.

Revolution Z Cam
Axle to Axle 32 1/2"
Brace 7 3/4"
Draw Length 27 - 30"
Draw Weight 60 - 90 lbs
Mass Weight 4.0 lbs
IBO Speed 320-328 FPS*
* 350 Grain Arrow, 30" Draw, 70 lbs

IMHO if you put the top 3 or 4 short A to A bows in 100 peoples hands and let them choose what feels best, the majority will walk away holding an Admiral.

That conclusion comes from shooting them myself and listening to shooters that have done the same;)

For My money the 32" Hoyt Alphamax is the one that got ordered. Never been in the "majority", anyway! ;)

I like short ATA bows and shot the DXT back to back with the Admiral and thought the DXT was MUCH better. Thats the best one ive shot so far.
