Default Pin Size Preference?...Getting New Sight

For hunting situations only, generally 30 yrds or less and low light conditions "in your opinion" what is the best pin size or what do you prefer/use? .010 .019 .029 or other?? I am going to get a new sight soon and was just wondering what most people use. Thanks for your input.

I love 19's, they seem small at first, but once you get use to shooting them 29's look like basetballs. 10's for target shooting. I have alot of buddies that are going with .0191st pin, and then .010 for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pins.

I order all my Spot Hoggs with custom pin configurations made just for me... My top pin is .29, whle the remaining three are .19s.. I've thought about getting the bottom pin in .10, but that's just getting too small for my 40-year-old eyes.

I've found .29 to be perfect for 20-yard shots and in... You've got to realize how much target you'll be able to see (assuming whitetails here) at that distance, and if it's a wrapped pin like on the Spot Hoggs, it'll really be visible until probably after legal shooting light.

I prefer the .19's thats what I have always used while I have bowhunted, when you go up to the .29's you can't even see what your shooting at there way to big to hunt with in my opinion.

I set up both of my Viper's at .19's for the top three and .10 for the bottom 2.

The optimum pin size depends as much on an individuals eyes as anything.

I personally prefer .019 For me it's the best of both worlds

Thanks guys I really appreciate your advice.

Dan I agree about the eye situation and I think my eyes are still ok for the .019's... for now anyway(40 yo) ha ha

Greg I do like that idea though with the .029 for the top pin. Those .029's just look soooo bright If I can't work that scenario I will definitely go with the .019's.

I am glad I asked because I was kind of leaning towards the .029's just because of how they looked in the store
