Bow Warranty Info Needed
 

I'm thinking about buying online, and was curious about warranties on used bows.

1. Do they transfer from owner to new owner?
2. What can you do if previous owner doesn't have warranty card, etc.?
3. Will pro-shops honor warranties of bows not bought in their shop?

If these questions seem stupid, it's because I have never bought a bow secondhand yet, and am looking into it. Thanks

Technically, a second hand bow has No warranty. The warranties are to the original owner only.

1. Technically. No.
2. Not too much even if he does have it.
3. Yes. If the warranty is valid.

With all that being said, I have bought many bows used on the internet (archerytalk.com classifiedsare excellent) and never had a problem with any of them. It sure beats the heck out of new bow prices. Even if you had to pay for a repair, you would probably still be ahead.

Make sure you ask specific questions about string/cable condition, dry firing, other damage, draw length/weight, shipping costs, paypal costs, accessories included. Be patient and you can get a great price. I have even managed to avoid shipping costs by finding eager sellers with reasonable driving distance.

Don't beshy aboutcreating a post and asking what others (on this forum) think about the deal.

Thanks! I'm looking to get a DXT, and they are going for $800 brand new around here (Phoenix). Definitely have seen 'em cheaper online, with guys wanting to switch to a Reezen, Monster, or Elite, but wasn't sure how the transfer works in case a problem arises.
