question on nontypical classification

Okay I wish I had a picture of the deer I'm describing but I forgot to snap one at the Classic today. If a buck has all 6 points on the left side that come up normally and then a point comes up between the g2 and g3 but it is more at an angle towards the center of the deers skull. Is this a nontypical or not? The point is probably 11 inches long. Sorry that I don't have a picture, but tomorrow I'll be sure to get one!

RE: question on nontypical classification

A picture would do wonders. If the point comes directly off of the top of the main beam It's more then likely a typical point. If It come off of the side of the main beam or Is linked to any other point It's more then likely an abnormal point. Sounds like It's an abnormal point but maybe It Isn't, a picture will tell the story pretty easily.

the picture posted is a typical it will just be deducted in score because the other side does not have the same.

The deer ended up being a non-typical. It actually got first place in the non-typical division of the Nebraska Big Buck Classic.

The point on the left side Is an abnormal point but by the looks of It that buck Is or should be scored as a typical.

I kinda thought the same thing. There is the 9" point on the left side, and two stickers, each about 2 inches. So there is a total of 13" abnormal. Either way, it is a beautiful deer. I didn't see the measurements on the main beams but they had to be 27" or so.
