Off Season - What do you do for fun
 

OK, hopefully this is ok, but since most here shoot 3-D, work on food plots, etc...what do you do for fun outside of archery ??? To me, I try and divide my summer days between riding my Harley and shooting. Thanks to Rob for this, since I see he has a Harley coming ?? Congrats

I also enjoy riding my Harley. I am involved in Dog showing. Working and Training my dogs is more at the fore front in the offseason (I do have one of the best handlers in the country), but archery is a part of my daily routine everyday of the year.

Here is a pic of my Male. He has both Major wins and only needs a few points to complete his Championship.:D

During the off season I shoot trap league two nights a week, fish the river, sub on my sons dart league once in awhile and
chase the wife around a little more then usual[8D]

When I'm not hunting deer or Turkey I'm fishing heres a pic of a good bass I caught on a spinnerbait.

Plant food plots, trees,and veggie garden, turkey hunting, fishing, camping, boating, riding atvs, work at the farm, trail cams,shoot the bow, get ready for deer season.

Spring and summer I like to go after the walleye and panfish. I like to go to the local Wissota dirt tracks . Spring turkey hunting/deer shed hunting. Mess with the trail cam. Watch the newborn fawns grow up and the antlers too. Check out the fields and figure out strategy for upcoming season.

I fish for steelhead! Ice fish,shoot winter archery league. All sorts of fun stuff!

I do a lot of fishing and i usually travel a lot, usually go on surf trips. and later in the summer when the hurricanes start pumping i chase them around on the weekends hoping to catch a good swell. But i also spend a lot of time prepping for the upcoming season.

Turkey hunting starts soon, then once the warm weather sets in I'm on the boat as much as possible.

I'll get the bow out every now and then for some target practice off the deck, get the food plots in, stands repaired and any work on the hunting cabin.

All the while counting down to Sept. 15th!

Fishing with family& family outings.I usually manage a couple trips to Tx or Ok. for some hog Bowhunting. Try to get to Vegas with wife for a few days of fun. We just try & enjoy life with each other, kids & G-kids...

This one is pretty easy for me. What i do during the "off season" is something I don't get to do during season----shoot my bows. Almost daily. Indoor and outdoor 3D, practice. Then I do fishing during the summer. Then when I get free time I book upwards of 7 scuba trips to parts of the world most people either never get a chance to go to or have never heard of.

Shoot my bow...alot! Even more now that my girlfriend is getting her first bow in a few weeks. Go for alot of walks with my lab.

Building and shooting bows is a year round activity. In the winter months, though, I like to stow the low tech toys and pull out the high tech toys.

There are 2 seasons for me, Golf and Hunting, luckily they only run together a few weeks of the year...

I also Coach Youth Baseball, spend family time, ride ATV's and schedule a couple Trips to Vegas for the wife and I to have some Adult time.. [8D]

Archery, fishing, having cookouts when the weather is good, throwing parties, jetskiing, snowboarding, travelling and spending time with loved ones.

To me there is no off season. It drives my wife nuts but thats okay. In the sping it's food plots or looking for sheds with my family. With the price of gas I only go up to the property twice a month. I'm alwasys trying to fine tune my stands or putting in a couple of new ones every year. Then there is the trimming of shooting lanes or just the up keep of the property. Finally I get to look at my trailcam pics and decide which ones to print and which ones to delete. I'm just real lucky to have found a wife 29yrs. ago that can share my passion for being out in the woods! Thanks deerman69 :)

Once deer season is over I do a lot of fishing and weight lifting in the mornings. But when that's not going on I like to play golf, go fox hunting and MMA. Once football season comes around I go to practice and then drink water. :D

My offseason is almost completely consumed by baseball. College baseball is a full time job and when your expected to be national contenders it's even more work. Then in the summer i have just enough time to tune and shoot my bow between summer ball and a full time job. But wouldn't trade this life for anything in the world.
