mine took me about 3 hours on the first opening day LOL.
i got prety lucky i guess i had shot and shot all summer...sometimes 2-3 hours at a time every day....both of my brothers have bow hunted for a long time and they told me it would probably take me a few seasons to get my first one....well at 9 am on opening morning i had a button come way to close to my stand at 17 yards and ate the buidness end of a muzzy tipped shaft and ran 50 yards....i wasnt working at the time so i drove around to my brothers job site with the tailgate of the truck down blowin the horn jsut to make sure they saw it...was pretty good to prove them wrong and i have done it more than once since then with hunting and fishin

I bought my first bow in early December one year and didn't see a deer theremaining 2 months. Opening day of the following season I got my first bow kill, followed it up with another just before rifle season started.

...Now the next year I missed multiple times and ate both tags

8 Seasons for me,but I learned alot about deer in those 8 years,I hunted from the ground and learned how to stalk and get close. My first few years I didn't even draw on a deer. Also ya gotta be where the deer will be or near,I would hunt small lots in town when I just began, folks would really be suprised how many deer bed in these small spots.
