Great idea Doug....sorry haven't been in here due to work and hunting over the weekend. Don't forget the elk burgersand while I cook those up, we can play the 30 minute DVD of last years hunt

I assume breakfast will be around the campground if the weather permits ???? and Sunday morning, how about a breakfast say at Travel Port for those heading home ??

Well Ihave a preliminary schedule set up for the GTG..

Saturday Morning

wake up and watch Jim (huntingson) run 6 miles
wait for huntinson to shower
Head out for Breakfast
Double check that noone left Josh behind at the campgrounds
return to campgrounds and get gear together and head out to the 3-D shoot

Hit the practice range and check sights

Draw random teams of 4 to 5 shooters and head out

upon finishing the 3-d course everyone can either take part in an archery "PIG" game or hang out and BS.

head back to camp and eat lunch..and have the Corn Hole competitions with two man teams. also more BS ing and ribbing going on.

After the CH champions are decided Head back to the archery shop for Group walk of the 3-D course (some of the course) and take the "LONG SHOT" Challenge last year we had the 100 yard Elk shot. Germ has to lose his crown from last year

Make up other challenges along the way.

Return to camp for dinner and award/prizes ceremony

More trash talk and BS stories

Campfire with lots of trash talk and ribbing.Adult beverages, ect. Maybe some videos shown of last years hunting adventures.(Bring some of your personal videos to share)

Last year we talked about having a gift swap, but we never did it. This is hilarious after it gets going and I really think we could have a blast doing this. Anyway all attendees bring a wrapped(doesn't need to be fancy, just hidden from sight) gift limited to archery or hunting. Limit is a 10.00 cost. Each person will get a number which represents the order of your pick. The number one picks first and opens item in front of everyone. The number 2 person may take the number one gift or opt to open something else. This gets very funny as it goes down the line.So the high number can take any of the previous gifts for his own and that person opens something else. It's hard to put in words, but this game gets more laughs than any I've ever done. After doing this everyone will want to do it every year from then on. I still get people wanting to know from 3 Christmas parties ago when we're doing it again.

Any other suggestions or comments please post it here.

Rob, I'd love to do breakfast at the campsite, but I don't know if I could handle cooking for that many people for breakfast.

Last year we ate at Freeport. I'm open to anything though. If someone wants to help out with cooking on saturday morning I'm game for whatever.

I will do the scrambled eggs, pancakes, elk sausage patties and regular bacon..I don't mind..I have been on somewhat of a restricted diet, so it will be all for everyone to enjoy.

I am thinking of renting a camper for the weekend.

And I'm not going to watch you run 6 miles this year then. I'll just watch you run 2 or 3.
