You need one more choice in your poll, "Both ways". Lighting can definitely effect sight picture. I prefer both open so I can see more, but sometimes lighting requires you close or at least half close the non-dominant eye.

I shoot with my right eye open and my left eye closed, I tried shooting both open, but i think my left is slightly dominant over my right and i don't feel like changing, not now at least.

I always shot with one eye but a couple of years my vison started geting worse. This spring I was diagnosed with an eye diease that will gradually get worse until I will need a cornea transplant so the only way I can shoot is with both eyes open.

hillarious, people closing an eye when they shoot - it really is ....... does Jordan close an eye shooting a ball? Tiger close an eye hitting a golf ball? Did Howard Hill close an eye shooting his bow?
