You have a good point fingerz, but i really thinkin you are cuttin PSE a little short there. I have seen xforces shot as good as pretty much any bow out there. You say unforgiving, I say shoot better Ive seen them atwork, its not magic. I probably couldnt shoot one asgood as i can my bows, but people can. They have to be forgiving enough.

Some ofMartin's bows have an extended pocket as well (just to add that one to the list)

Either way, I really like the CP design, rather it be hoyt or bowtech.

Thats marketing. Thats what you do. You brag up your product and make it seem as others are inferior. Now they make dual cams unlike anyone else. It is uncharacteristic for Mathews to go with a dual cam, but they saw a chance and took it. Mathews saw that the dual-cam bows could be brought up a notch, so they did it.

Right now Mathews is just playing the game. Right now the name of the game is SPEED, everyone wants SPEED. Speed is overrated, but right now it is paying off. Look at PSE, they came out with the X-force and it sold like hot cakes because all people could see was 348 fps. OH WOW. Then they come up with the slogan "you've been caught" or something... Seriously? Like speed is the only factor to make a good bow? So because PSE brought out this fast, low brace, unforgiving, rough drawing bow, and now they claim to have "caught" Mathews?! Really?? Come on!

So Mathews has to play along. What sells? Obviously, this speed garbage right now. So they say lets make a speed bow. Well, we cant get 350-360 out of a single cam. So lets do it with a dual cam. So they do. Now its the first or second fastest bow on the market..(Omen may be #1) and it has the MATHEWS name on it. So guess what... Its gonna fly off the shelves!! People ordered it before it was/is even released. People have orders for it right now! Who does that before they shoot a bow?! Thats just nuts. PEOPLE WHO ONLY CARE ABOUT SPEED. Thats who preorders a bow theyve never shot. A smart individual that buys bows based on performance does not do that blind buying crap.

So to appeal to the consumer, lets put out SPEED. Think about it, if you want to make money in todays Archery business, what kind of bow would you want to sell?

AND,they are known as the marketing kings. This is what is so comical. They do it so well.People buy in to it.

I am not bashing mathews just pointing out how ironic, their marketing is,not to mention just how well they do it.

So you're pointing out how well Mathews markets their bows.

......Is there a downside to this.....

Hes not saying they are dumb for doing how they do. We all know it works for them soo well. Its not bad at all. Kudos to them. but... Its ironic that their name is Mathews Solo Cam and they marketed the single cam like it was the end all technology. Now that they have been caught and passed up (in the speed game) the are going against their own name to produce a 2 cam bow, even though its techincally not a "Mathews Solo Cam" bow. Its a MAthews Mcphereson. That is the ironic part. Their success isnt bad, nor is how they achieved it.

Just smoke. Hoyt did the same thing. They were the ones people tried to keep up with and while others were pushing the paralel limbs Hoyt and those that loved them did there talking with their bows. Then Hoyt decided to throw it all out for some reason and go paralel. They've played catch up since and many of their customers have left. Guys that defended Hoyt only to be left out to dry were confused as the Mathews people will be. I know one guy who has for years been on a crusade trying to convince people of the superiority of the single cam, kind of a zealot. He isn't going to be happy.

TFOX if it is old school reflex/deflex stuff seems to me they are going back to the bows prior to paralel limbs. I got an idea, just loose that far point were the limb contacts the riser and go with one contact point.Shorten the riser and increase the limb lenght and they might have something cutting edge. They could reduce some weight that way.

I see we have an open minded Mathews guy in the house, lol.

Let's face it, there are some great bows out there all around.

That wasn't all that biased. I was just trying to show their perspective on selling a dual cam bow now.

And Drock, I'm sure it was a big decision to go with the dual cam after they have been single cam so long. Seems a bit hypocritical, I understand what you're saying. I'm sure thats why they tried to mask it under the "Mcpherson Series" name.

Yep!! I knew it was just a matter of time.

BowTech continues to push technology each and every year. That's what keeps them the Front runner.

They don't sit on what they did last year or 2 years ago. Even the CP bows this year got a big update, and Sweet they are!!

Hoyt never ran 2 page adds on why parralel limbs don't work like Mathews did with the cam 1/2

And Hoyt has already done the rest of what you suggest. They just built what the market wanted.I have one and like it but no way in hell does it even compare to a protec, does it drock[8D] AND,imo, nothing compares to the proelite.
