Broadheads for the 82nd.

Considering some choices in broadheads for my new setup. I would like to stick with blazers. Arrow weight will be between 330-360 grains and speeds between 265-280fps. KE about 56ft/lbs, give or take a pound. What would you set me up with for whitetail? Gracias:)

I shoot the Rage 2 blade through my 82nd. They fly perfectly and make huge holes.

I'd prolly go with the Razortrick in that sitch. These have really caught my interest and I may shoot them myself this year if I don't shoot a mech.

I just bought some 100 gr griz tricks on the Elite forum. I gave $40 for 6 heads with extra blades too. Gotta love these forums. Saved myself $20 plus and no sales tax.;) These are my 1st grizz tricks and I have just used the standard slicktricks in the past. Doegirl, They fly like a field tip as advertised and where your field tips are sighted in, your broadheads will hit.

Keep in mind though that doegirl isn't pulling your weight nor your KE. Although the 82nd' puts out a buttload of KE, not everyone can shoot Rages. ;)

Take the General Consensus, those Slick Tricks are just AWESOME BH's all the way around. Fly great, leave great holes, sharp as any I've pulled from a package, and TOUGH!!!

No, but she can with her arrow weight and speed on whitetails.
How much weight am I pulling?

Kevin,
I'd tend to agree with Rob, as would many others, Tiffany doesn't shoot an overly high energy set-up, and I've seen their show twice and both times, I thought her penetration looked poor. With something like the ST's penetration shouldn't be as much a factor, and the way ST's fly almost perfectly out of a well tuned bow, it just makes sense to opt for something that is TOUGH, SHARP, and FLIES GREAT, and won't be a detractor for a lower poundage set-up vs. opting for one of the BH's that is best used with a HIGHER poundage/energy set-up. I've know of several people that had issues with the RAGES and not being able to achieve pass-throughs, and opted to switch from them because of that. No pass-through on an animal that may have moved, or on a shot that may have deflected and hit the animal marginally, usually equals a poor blood trail, and a LONG and sometimes disappointing track job!!!! I'll take the pass-through with a 1.125" 4 blade BH over a potential non-pass-through from a 2" 2-blade BH anyday!!!! And actually if you get right down to it, the total cut of a ST is about equal to that of a RAGE!!!!

slow down there hoss... I wouldnt go that far as to say they will hit where your fp's are for everyone. They are still fixed blades and need to be tuned well, but YES, the do fly like fp's. I groupedamagnum, and a grizzat 40yds that was everybit as good as i could possibly make with my fp's, but they werent where my fp's hit b/c my bow/arrow combo wasnt tuned that great (especially for fixed heads)
