Spined one doe, came down out of the tree and put another through her to finish. I was very embarassed to have missed so high. My buddies said that she must have dropped on the shot. I know better, it was a wide open shot at 22 yards and she was grazing, a very calm deer. She went straight down, I blew the shot period.

Twice for me I hunt high and both bucks where less than ten yards from my tree.
The second shots finish the job quickly but unfortunatly still a gut wrenching
thing to watch.
However the worst experience was a one lung shot on a doe. She ran a short
distance but still in sight laid down got up started stumbling around.
I had to get down from my tree go to her and finish her off. It was the worst
30 min. of deer hunting in my life.

Two one last year in the spine from a tree and one at 3 yards in the neck, I was on the ground for that one. Both fell where shot.

I sot one with my muzzle loader right in the spine and died immediatly with no kicking or anything.

I' ve dropped a few this way. Although this is definately not the prefered method,
it is highly effective. We are all out there to " harvest" deer and do it as humanely
as possible but if the shoe were on the other foot and the deer were doing the
shooting, does it really matter where you get shot? Dead is dead.[X(]

Several years ago I did. A combination of misjudging distance and jumping the string. Caught it right through the spine and it dropped, used a second arrow through the vitals.

Not what I wanted, but a quick kill and no tracking involved.

Yes, a few and the one was shot a little forward and high with a mechanical n the shoulder. Dropped dead in it' s tracks.

Never had one drop on the spot with a bow. Closest ran a semi circle around my tree and dropped 30 yards behind me.
