4 vanes vs 3

Is there any advantages or disadvantages to shooting 4 vanes or feathers instead of 3? Im planning on shooting some turkeys with my bow this year (well trying to) and i heard you want to slow your arrow down so it doesn't blow right through them, is this true or should i jsut use my same deer hunting setup?

im assumeing that you are talking about flu-flus. they are mostly used for small game hunting but i wouldnt see why they wouldnt work on turkey. it depends on what your bow is set up for. the wisker biscut rests will cause too much drag on the arrow. and if you are shooting 50 lbs or less you shouldnt have a problem useing your deer setup. another thing that can help is if you use a good head designed for turkeys, you can find them most anywhere.

no my flethcer has a addon that i can put 4 fletchings on instead of 3. I did 2 arrows like it because i was bored. Not much of a difference with fieldpoints. Im shooting 55lbs and i have gamegetter xx75 in 2016's that shoot really good out of my bow so i think im gonna use them because they are jsut a little slower and heavier than my carbons.
