High Country?
I might buy a High COuntry Power Force X1 from a freind for 100$ with some aluminum arrows? Is this a good deal? I dont know much about bows, so can someone inform me? Any things to look escipially for, if i buy it? Its a 50-60 lbs bow with a 28.5-29.5 draw length. It also has 80% let off. What are some good arrow stopping targets? I would like them not to be in a 3-D style either. Where do you guys ussually get your bow stuff over the net?
Thanks alot guys |
RE: High Country?
I bought a High Country, Force out of a junk store a few years back. It was priced at $80 but it was %70 off when I saw it. I paid $24 for it and harvested a deer the first year I had it. It shoots really well and I still have the bow. I checked the limbs for any signs of cracking from being dry fired. I looked it over really good around the axels and pulled it back and listened for ' creaks' and ' groans' . When I pulled it I felt for any rough spots or catches. It passed the test and the rest as they say is history. I buy my gear from the local pro shop. Morrel bags are good and hold up well. Good luck!

RE: High Country?
Never had a High Country but as long as the limbs are good and the cams roll over smooth it should be ok. Take it to a pro shop and have it looked over, they won' t mind, especially if you buy your other gear from them. I like the block for targets, a little pricey but they last forever and you can shoot broadheads into them. Support you local pro shop, that is where I buy my gear. May cost more but it is worth it because of the service.
