All the sites I've seen are slower right now. Seasons are over and it's the same every year.

I agree that all hunting related sites are going to be down this time of year. Things always pick back up once the weather starts to get better and guys get shooting outside again and turkey season get here.

However, this siteis having some pretty bad performance issues right now thatmake it tough to deal with. I really don't mind the ads, I understand that bills have to get paid. I don't know if the introduction of the ads are creating the performance problems, but there are times when it takes me 3-4 attempts to read a post, or to reply to a post. The overall operation of the site is slow, not just the number of the posts.

I hope the performance issuesgetfixed.I have no doubt the site will pick back up as people get back into hunting and shooting mode, but if the performance issue continue, then more people may stay gone for good.

The only thing I have ever seen take longer to die was GMMAT lost buck thread. This site has been gut shot for a long time.Should have used a rage.
The festering and gangreneare setting in,it won't be long now.[:@]


For God sake ifyou can't fix it hire some one whom can or better yet quit pissen it up to start with.

I've been posting on this site since 2001 and it always get slow this time of year.

Although I will agree that the overall quality of posts have continually degraded over the years. The sheer size of this forum probably had something to do with it. I miss the old days.

I agree I have been here for a few years and i don't like what i'm seeing . I'll still hang out here in hopes it gets better.
There has been ups and downs through the years here but i have never seen this many leaving

It has taken a really big step back since the upgrade. what's the deal with all the adds now even in the post ? I think that has gone a bit to far on trying to sell something

I do believe that when all is said and done that the site will be just fine. When new owners take over any kind of business, there will be certain changes made and wrinkles to iron out. It is a pita, but I am sure HNI is not going to fall apart.
