Found one of my goals (~ 82 B&C)
 

My very first shed of the year, turned out to be one of the ones i was looking for. It took 6 seperate outings for me to find it, but it was well worth it. The area i found it in is an area i dont hunt often, and will start focusing more on next year. Its a network of trails along a swamp/creek bottom that runs in a valley north and south. I know the deer have been using it, but i just havnt had a stand in their before. This is the 2nd shed that i have ever found.

If you havnt already figured it out, me and my buddies/family have a long history with this buck. This is the 2nd year that we have been hunting him, and we believe he is only 3.5 years old. The guys here on HNI are probably sick of me talking/posting him...but he's my goal and the dozen or so bucks i let live this year can thank him for that.

Sort of. The areas we can look are spotty because alot of it is private ground, and we only have permission for random peices in his range.

Mybrother did a rough score of him last night, and came up with 76 inches. Im going to re-measure him tonight just to verify it. Messing around with numbers for the other side and spread, and he came up with 183 gross. I need to find that other side so we can tell for sure :D

Congrats Cay! Next year, you may be hunting the buck of 10 lifetimes, buddy. Now, see if you can't find that other side. I bet it's within 500 yards. Grid it out and be methodical.

Today must've been a good day to be out. I got into two sheddy looking areas today, and stumbled into a matched mainfraime 4x4 set with split bilateral brows. He wasn't much - probably barely tapes out to 100+, but he'll have some great character this summer.
