For those who have hunted africa
Let's see those pics. Either trophy pics or just regular pics of the animals or scenery. Let's get to see the dark continent a little better for those of us who won't get that opportunity.

RE: For those who have hunted africa
Ryan,
Give me a day or two to put together a slide show. Can I ask why you think you will never get to go? Many hunts in Africa (including airfare) are cheaper than hunting here in the state. A good friend of mine just drew a mt.goat tag on Kodiak Island, Alaska. It's a tag which requires an outfitter. So, I put her in touch with Kodiakarcher (Rob). Rob sent heran email with the name of reputable outfitter. Can you believe her BUDGET hunt is going to cost $6900? With that same money, I can hunt Africa and come home witha minimum often different animal species. I will give you an example. I just had an outfitter, who I have hunted with, send me an email. He is over burdened by lions-lionesses in particular. He has offered a lioness hunt for $2000 USD (not sure how many need to be removed but it is a simialr concept as removing does from a herd-they have exceeded the carrying capacity. PM me anyone if you are interested). In the East Cape of S. Africa, I put together an "all inclusive" 10 day safaris for $2995. It includedseven animals: kudu, springbok, warthog, duiker, steinbok, impala, and blesbok. Jackels, caracals, bat eared fox, and baboons were tossed into the deal for free! Airfare packages can be had for as little as $1300 if one is prudent. So let's do the math: $2000 + $2995 + $1300= $6295. That leaves $705 for another critter or two-13 to 14animals or morecoming out of Africa for the same price as one coming from the states. And while you're there, you are treated like royalty! Never say never my friend- plan, save, execute! If you need help putting something together, I'm here for you! Cheers! |

Will, although the hunt may be less expensive up front, the taxidermy bill will surely be a big one, but then again, those are the kind of problems that ill take any day of the week!:D
One day i will be over there. |

RE: For those who have hunted africa
Africa is definately doable for about the same costs as one big game hunt guided out west here in NA...but for some reason, I can't seem to get interested in it like I am elsewhere. Internationally, I would much rather hunt NZ, Australia, and Argentina before Africa. Eventually I too want to head over (might take my Dad when I graduate college as a gift to him for all he has done for me or something)...IDK. One thing is for sure, they have some wild animals and some wild places. If I went, I think I would rather hunt outside of one of the consessions just for personal reasons, which is still a very viable option from what I am told.
Will, that lionness hunt sounds like a steal, I would love to take a lionwith the stick and string. I can only imagine the rush yours gave you! I am anxious to see thisslideshow! |
