Innerloc EXP (also sold under Fuse name).

Saw a detailedreview of a mechanicaltest in Bowhunting World magazine and was looking for the
best penetrating vs. cutting areathree blade and this was the one.

Hit a 200lb buck high due to severe angle (deer was in ditch) just at the heavy bone at the top of the
rib cage and it went through all the bone, was sticking out low,and he died within 30 yards.

I like them because they are 3 blade, low profile, fly well, and won't open prematurely with the clip loc design.

You can also switch them from 1.5" cutting diameter to 1.25" by reversing the collar (I left mine at 1.5").

I also like them because apparently no one else does and I just picked up 2 packs for next year on
ebay for less than $30 with shipping

Piston point/undertakers are the ones that have scored highest in my tests. They are durable, accurate and penetrate well for the cutting surface. Lot's of other good heads as well but these are my personal favorites as of right now.

Isn't that head considered barbed?

IMHO I think the 3 best Mechanicals on the market are:
1. Spitfire XP's
2. Rage
3. Grim Reapers

This past fall was my first for mech heads and for the first time in 4 years I will be using the same heads 2 years in a row. I had great luck with the Grim Reapers. My son has used them for 5 years and has had great luck. I was always a fixed head only guy but once I shot these I will not go back.

5 shot,

How much pressure does it take to open these heads? I haven't seen them in person, but I've heard it takes a good deal of pressure to open them.

My personal favorite is the Rocky Mountain Gators. The have a huge 2" cut like a Rage, but no o-rings. The blades pivot/deflect around bone, but don't free-float on the pivot like the Rage heads which is a plus imho. I like the older style Gators with the trocar style tipinstead of the bladed tip they changed to when the Rage came out as I feel they provide better penetration/passthru especiallywhen hitting bone. I've shot the Gators on and off for about ten years and have never been disappointed. Always had pass-thru, always had a tremendous blood trail. I tried the Rage head this year and had success with it as well, butIprefer the simplistic design of the Gators.

I'll say this much-I've seen quite a bit of footage of the Rage heads in action and they are freakin' scary (in a good way).

Thanks for everyone's thoughts (and by all means continue)
