Fallow Faceoff
 

Hi Guys..Its 4 weeks till our Fallow season and the start of the Aussie rutt...so i wandered out to my fav spot armed only with my camera...On entering a windbreak i spotted a chocolate buck at around 80 yards





After getting a few snaps I made some grunts with my mouth and he started coming to me..





I was lying on my side under some pine branches ...he wasnt sure about me and kept coming...by now i was shakin' pretty hard..




He came into around 20 yards and just stood there ...i managed over 100 pics as he were at a faceoff for about 15 minutes...









Eventually I crawled back out and let him be....later he was with a white/menil buck in the grasses out the back....hope you enjoy the pics...

Good stuff there Rob! I had to cut and paste the photo links each time to view the deer, but I did get to see the bruiser. I wish you the best of luck when the camera becomes the bow! thanks for sharing.

Take a look in our Technical Help forum on how to make photos appear. Your using the wrong link. Use the direct link and then click this add image icon and then paste the direct link URL in that window.

I like that white spotted buck better...either ones appear as good shooters to me..Good luck getting on them come hunting time.
