GLENDEL BUCK....target or decoy?
 

I've got some Christmas gift cards for Dick's sporting goodsburning a hole in my pocket and had two things in mind: 1. a deer decoy 2. Some kind of bow shooting target. I actually saw on the outdoor channel the other day, someone using the Glendel Buck target as a decoy. What do you guys think can a I kill two birds with one stone, or should I buy two separate items?

If you are talking about the Keith Warren show, I saw it to...but it was another high fence operation that he loves to hunt within so much. Not sure exactly how "wild" or realistic the results are.

If you want a decoy, there are much more realistic ones available, but if you want a target, thats probably as good as they get. I'd get whichever you wanted more, and if it happens to be the target...I guess there is only one way to find out just how realistic it looks.

Iwould use it as a target not a decoy. It is not a realistic looking deer.

If you need a target then get a target.

If you want to try Decoying then get a decoy! It can be a blast, but is a lot of work. I decoy hard every year for 10 days to 2 weeks.

I've seenthings I would never have experienced otherwise. I've shot a couple of P&Y's off a decoy to boot, but it would have been a blast even if I had Not.;)

I have a Glendale, the Boss decoy is bigger. :D

For the cost of the Glendel buck IMO it's not worth it. I don't like mine it has some issues. If you want to use it as a decoy forget it. There are better targets for cheeper out there.
