This one season I have spent over $600 on new tree stands, scents, clothing, boots, arrows, broadheads, a new bow(Bear Showdown; I love it) etc etc etc...so yes I am the same and I don't plan on changing anything...hahah

Back when I was single I would go nuts for hunting stuff! I was saving for a house so I was living w/ my parents, needless to say my expenses were 10% of what they are now... So I splurged a bit. In 05 I bought all new gear... But I still use it all, and dont plan on getting a new bow this year. I've got 1 doz uncut shafts left to make into arrows to replenish my quivers (bought 3 doz. @ $45/doz 3 yrs ago)..

Only thing I bought this year was a new Sight, for $80...

Now I'm in save cash mode... I hope to put a big down payment on some land in a few years for hunting/investment purposes....

I haven't bought a thing except a cold from going out and scouting... But I hear you, this sport is addicting!

Spending money buying stuff is not a measure of how committed one is to thier "passion". It just means they have a lot of disposable income to allow it, and choose to do so. Some guys may not have spent a dine the last 30 days, but logged miles on foot scouting or climbed 50 trees trimming lanes and evaluating them for next year. Many people on here have it bad, its just a matter of how thier time and/or funds allow them to express it.

Its hard to say what I have spent. I've bought a ton of stuff, but I've also solda ton of stuff. I like having new, high quality gear, but I don't like having a lot of it. I almost always sell the older stuff, not really for the money but to just get the junk out of my house.

If I had to guess I would saya couple thousand net on gear this year and don't even bring up the land note.

3.an Extreme stab for it

4. an Alpine Bear Claw Quiver for it

5. A HHA slider sight for it

6. A used, mint condition Short n-Sweet release for a backup on AT

7. A broad head scale on AT on sale

8. A Fleece predator coat on sale on AT

9. A Lone Wolf Hand climber $100 off reg price at Reeds Sporting goods in MN

10. An '06 Elite E-500 brand new bow ,basically for free as long as I bought the $300 worth of accessories on it, at a dealer that hadn't sold it. Elites best bow as to date, in many Elite owners minds.

lol...there is a Predator fall gray heater body suit for $175 on AT and it would be mine if it was an XL instead of medium[:@] Oh well, I am building one this year anyway. TeeJay and I are going to have a little friendly competition and see who can make the best heater body suit. I 'll bet they will be well under the $300 price tag the store bought ones go for and will be just as warm and we will shoot plenty of deer out of them....well I will...TeeJay is still learning[8D]
