Guys...I walk in2 Scheels in Des Moines 2nite to get a bow holder for my new LW hand climber. I see this Elite E-500 AT in the rack with a $99 Black Gold radiant sight on it, a $50 Sims stabilizer, and an $80 Limb Driver on it...brand new 2yr old model with warranty for $299!! So it shoots like a dream...The guy chronos it for me and I am shooting 286 fps with a 392 gr arrow. I shoot a 29" draw but this bow fits me perfect and states it is a 28.5" draw. It is peaked at 69# and the draw cycle is smoooooooth. It feels more like a 60# draw. It seemed like a deal I couldn't refuse. Store employee said they just lowered the price on this this week, and was surprised it hadn't sold as it came with $230 worth off accessories on it!! I am in shock yet and I bought it to sell...but I like it big time, and don't know if I can part with it now. It is a VERY nice shooter and extremely quiet. No one in IA knows much about Elite and there are no dealers in the area except one in the NE part of the state. Scheels doesn't carry them anymore. Tell me what you know about this model please.

Sounds likea great deal!? The folks over on the Elite forum could probably tell ya alot about that model. Seem like a good bunch.

Here is the link to the owners manual- has the basic specs-based on the speeds you got I'd say it was out of timing or something- should be quite a bit faster at near 70 pounds.

I shot my 82nd through a chrono yesterday and the bow shot 291 fps with my current hunting arrow, but I had no scale at the shop to weigh my arrow. This Elite bow is way easier to draw and the draw cycle on this bow is WAY smoother. This bow at 69# fills easier to draw than the 82nd at 61#. Who knows why. This Elite has a draw cycle nearly hump free when the cam rolls over. The 82nd has a definite hump like a speed bow.
