2009 Ross Carnivore
Shot a new 2009 Ross Carnivore and HOLY **** amaznigly smooth draw and very very fast. 71# 29" draw with a 350gr arrow 328fps chrono'd. I shot the 31" A.T.A. bow and yeah its short fast and quiet with no string suppresors, no stabilizer and the new Octane drop away. Yeah this might be a new bow for me if I can afford one in '09

Even it was 315..still nice. Maybe his chrono was off.. But still its noticably faster then the general.

RE: 2009 Ross Carnivore
The Carnivore was in the top 3 bows of the ATA show list.
It impressed me a lot. Seems like a great bow. |
RE: 2009 Ross Carnivore
It's an incredible bow, isn't it? I've been singing its praises for months now. It was one of the top bows I pointed dealers to at the ATA show.

I agree, sweet little set up. Even though it's right handed, I still shoot Rob's just about ever time I am at his house. Wouldn't mind checking out the target based carnivore. Also, The Krank, is really interesting.;)

RE: 2009 Ross Carnivore
How is the grip on this bow? Is it an improvement over the older CR models (for those who have shot the previous year models. That's one thing I really didn't like about mine. The grip was way too wide and a bit awkward. When the grip rested in between my thumb and index finger, I would get a pinch after a few shots. I really like the slimline grips, and my 101st has just that. Like Ben, I was eying up the Ross line for a target rig, but if the grip is the same, I would have to pass.

RE: 2009 Ross Carnivore
The Carnivore is at the top of my short list of a bow to buy. I shot both the 31 and the 34 and noticed a little string vibe on the 34. It was a very nice bow to shoot and very comfertable.
