RE: Horrible People
Not sure if a reward is gonna be of much help here. What I suggest is that this situation needs to stay in the forefront of the news all the time. Put it on TV every day. Put it on the front page of the regional newspapers everyday. Put it at everysnowmobile shop in the area forever. Make this like EA Poes Tale Tale Heart. I won't say that everyone involved in this grousome senseless act has a soul or concenscie (sp) but I am sure theat1 or 2 do and the constant nagging and public harasment and shame will cause them the crack and spill the own guts (no pun intended). SCUM OF THE EARTH!!

RE: Horrible People
Just got a update from my sister who works for Waupaca County. They found the people who did it. It was some teenagers from Weyauwega, WI. They are holding a press conference today about it.
|
RE: Horrible People
I remember fishing with my dad when I was 5 or 6. We were on a little boat and were catching some bluegills to eat later. We came by these teenagers who were fishing from the bank and I guess they thought they would put on a little show for us. As we came closer they began to take the fish they had caught and smash them against the rocks, ripping them to shreds and pulling out their guts. They then tossed them back in the water and laughed. That day made an impression on me on how I feel we should/should not treat animals. I remember my dad being HEATED, and that man is not someone you wanted mad. Those kids were lucky they were not adults or they would have been beaten just like those fish were and thrown into the water.
I hope those kids go to a lock up facility and spend some time behind bars with some of the animals I spend my days with while at work. |
RE: Horrible People
Great to hear they caught those responsible...I'll keep an ear out to here the progress on the case

Here's another update:
http://www.wisconsinrapidstribune.com/article/20090115/WRT0101/90115098/1982 Three Weyauwega men jailed in connection with Waupaca County snowmobile deer slaughter January 15, 2009 [ul] Read Comments(1) gsl.recommendCountHrefEnabled='true'; RecommendPrint this pageE-mail this articleShare [ul]Del.icio.usFacebookDiggRedditNewsvine http://www.wisconsinrapidstribune.co...T0101/90115098 Buzz up! [/ul] [/align] The men were booked in the Waupaca County Jail on Wednesday afternoon. They are: Robby Kuenzi, 23, E5548 North Shore Road, Weyauwega; Rory Kuenzi, 24, 410 Harlon Street, Weyauwega; Nicholas Hermes, 22, 215 W. Alfred Street, Weyauwega. Each is being held on a felony charge of mistreatment of animals. Hermes will make his initial appearance today in Waupaca County Circuit Court. The deer were found dead Saturday, apparently run down by a group of snowmobilers who herded the animals from an alfalfa field five miles south of Waupaca where a herd of 30 to 40 deer are known to feed. The slaughter has sparked outrage from snowmobilers, hunters and animal lovers, and rewards totaling more than $10,000 have been offered for information leading to the suspects or their convictions.
