Shoot him if you like, but I sure wouldn't eat him. I'd bet his lymph nodes are huge and you'd likely find pockets of decay around those wounds. His ribs are showing pretty bad as well. It is questionable if he'llmake it through winter, but personally I'd let nature take it's course.These are the animals that feed other animals.

First off, that is a good buck for my area. If it were not,I would PASS. He does not look like he is suffering.

i would shoot him because he would be more in danger with coyotes or other predators cuz he wont be able to run very fast. i would drop him

I love hunting. I would not burn my only tag on that deer. If someone offered me the meat from that deer I wouldn't eat it eithor.
I just wonder how many that said they would burn their only tag would do so on the first day of season after waiting a whole year for season to arrive. I would love to do the "right thing" and end an animals suffering. IMO the proper thing would be to end the suffering and keep your tag. My DNR doesn't give me that option.
