i would have to say the rage two blade would do a great job of all those things, it is a great head, good cutting diameter, it is reliable, flies like a field tip, but don't hit any bone on the animal because it will not go through the animal in my experiences.

When looking for a quality mechanical broadhead it is of the utmost importance that you must always make good solid dependable stationary blades a priority. ; )

When I was in my short lived mechanical infatuation, I did alot of compare and contrast and the Grim Reapers cam out on top for me.

With my own experienceas well as Feedback received from friendsif I were to choose a Mechanical broadhead I'd choose as follows:

1. Spitfire XP I'd also look at the new Spitfire Maxx

2. Grim Reapers

3. Rage/Synpers

i think something with a cutting diameter less than 1.5 that way you get a pass thru on almost any hit

Get fixed BH's. You never have to worry about them not deploying....

Muzzy 4's.

That depends on your setup. For some your statement would be correct, for others they would be wasting energy they could use to cut a Bigger hole.;)

Mechanical broadheads... Dont use them... Most people use them because they dont know how to tune there bows... they want something that shoot like field tips... Not worth the headache.

How are they a headache, just screw them on and shoot. I have my bow tuned so I can shoot any broadhead but I prefer mechanicals. I like the spiral cut Crimson Talon's.
