I already posted my favoriterecent photo, but I'm gonna have tobreak the rules and post another..Almost forgot about this picture until I found it today.. it definitely changed my mood for the better after the crappy day I've been having. I thank god for my redneck buddy Jimmy. He bet me 50 bucks and sworethathe's gonna wear this as his blaze orangethroughout all of 2009 gun season. And I WILL hold him to it!

ORIGINAL: hardcorehunter This is one brings back memories of one of the best times I have ever had...my successful NM elk bowhunt this Sept in the Gila Area and I lived in the woods for 14 days solid..lost 12 lbs of weight hiking and hunting. I could have lived another couple of months like this...no phone, no bills, free water, free wood to burn for heat and cooking, PEACE and Quiet, and no hassles of the everyday world. The way it ought to be.:)

Don't know if any of you remember, but a long time ago I posted a thread about my uncle who was dying from cancer (My sig. is about him). He made it a little bit longer, but eventually passed on in March '08. Some of the pictures we have of him mean alot to me. He was the one who got me and my dad into hunting, and I can't even begin to tell how much I learned from him. He always tried talking me in to bowhunting, but with sports and school I never had time. This was my first year bowhunting, and I got my first buck on opening morning. Just sucks that I never got to bowhunt with him.    |

This was a tough decision for me. I have three all-time favorite photos, and there are some good memories associated with each. The first photo shows some awesome action. I wish everyone could have been there to hear the sounds! The second was really close and the billy was in a state of defiance. It was like he was saying, "just try to get past me!". The third, well, it just pulls you in. I shot this after my third trip to Africa. It's a neat display of a few trophies I brought home.

I have just begun to take photographs of my time in the woods and on the water. But here are two that I really love of my kids and an awesome adventure we had last summer.....from picking all the worms in our backyard, to the long hike through the woods, and finally the pay off with my kids helping me catch this nice bass.
