I can't wait. I'll be deer hunting until mid January, predator hunting until late February and then shed hunting starts. I'll scout for gobblersat the same time, its a great time to be in the timber.

Last year was my first year dabbling in shed hunting. With that addition of the new property, I plan on putting in a lot more time this year.

i'm not much of a shed hunter but plan on trying it more. Didn't think I'd say this but I'll be glad when the ground freezes again. After this afternoon's hunt I really hate wet, muddy fields and lanes.

I don't find the fascination that many of you do. That said, for exercise reasons mostly, I do plan to try it a little more this year. Plus I have a lot of off season tree picking/trimming I want to accomplish in my main hunting spot. I feel I've become too complacent. Time to get a little more aggressive and get right up on these big boys bed room doors.

Yes I am interested Dan, just give me a call when your ready. A few always drop early here but the majority will drop between Jan 15th and Feb 15th. I think the light colored antler I found was from last year, IDK it looks good with no chew marks.

Early to mid FebruaryI will start looking for them:)

RE: Who's ready for some major leg work? sheddin

I never have found the obsession with them, perhaps because I've never found any...idk. Ill be scouting for the next few months, as well as coyote hunting and then turkey hunting. If I happen upon a shed then, I'll obviously pick it up...but I don't have much interest in hitting the woods actually searching fora shed antler. I DO want to hit the woods "shed hunting" with Grizz this year though to learn from a scouting perspective. I need some help boosting my game to the next level next year as far as big bucks go.

Chomping at the bit to get out there, but folks are still hunting around here, so I will wait until the season ends, also haven't had any reports of one sided bucks running around...

Will start hitting it hard towards the end of January, will see if I can hold out that long

This is the only shed that I've got. I didn't find it though, it was given to me.

RE: Who's ready for some major leg work? sheddin

I have some one sided bucks around here already but with the snow falling every other day and working out of town it is going to be awhile before I get out there. I usually find my sheds in April. I found one while turkey hunting last year. Someday I want to train a dog to sniff them out and retreave them for me. I know it's kind of cheating but it sounds like fun to me. The micecan find something else to naw on.
