My sightings were about the same, but in some very particular "spots" I sighted more deer while in others less deer. Accordingly I hunted the more deer areas......lol. And to be honest, it was my best season in sighting legitimate wallhanger bucks, the most in years...........but I screwed up[].

Although I was able to tag a mature buck in PA my sightings were significantly down this year.

Now, my first experience of IL was incredible.

My deer sightings were about average with 2.6 deer seen per sit. My mature buck sightings were up a bit - I saw a mature buck for every 3 sits on average. Half of my sits were after I tagged out with a camera in my hand.

Ive seen alot more deer this year, especially mature bucks. This is probably because me and my buddy have 15 or so more farms to hunt this yearthan last.

Bow season was decent but as the green left so did the deer,. I blame alot on lack of rain and acorns. Bucks have been shedding early.

Deer sightings down drastically for me this year. There were no acorns anywhere near any of the places I hunt.

My VA property deer sightings were down overall, and buck sightings down by about 1/2 compared to most years

My WV property deer sightings were WAY up overall...and buck sightings up alot too....lots of 1.5 & 2.5's should be pretty good next year if a bunch of them make it.
