5 Pin sights?
With my bow I got a five pin sight and I have been trying to think how I would set it up or to get a new one. My old set up I had one pin or no more than three and it seemed to work just fine. With the five pins how would you break down your yardage because who takes 50 yard shots other than Tom Maranda?

RE: 5 Pin sights?
Personally I think 5-pin sights are worthless. I could see some sort of use on a target bow but as for hunting I dont know anyone that has 5 divisions of yardages they shoot at.

RE: 5 Pin sights?
I shoot 3-d and hunt with the same bow. I do not compete unless it is against a buddy or myself. I have a 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60. I do not shoot past 35 hunting but I am so use to those pins being there that it does not hinder me in the woods.

RE: 5 Pin sights?
I agree with schester, there is no reason to have five pins when deer hunting, unless your IBO is super slow. For my setup, 3 pinsare ideal, 20, 30, and 40.

RE: 5 Pin sights?
What type of hunting are you going to be doing? If it were me I would stick with the 5-pinand remove a couple of your extra pins if you ever plan on doing any type of western big game hunting or something of that sort. In the woods when a 30 yard shot is a maximum the couple extra pins won't help or hinder you but if your proficient enough and have a chance you never know when you could possibly take a longer shot ethicly.
