Fletching your own arrows

Hey I was just wondering how I should go about putting new fletchings on my arrows, I want to just glue them to the carbon shaft of the arrow but don't know how far back to put them and how to keep them straight and what type of glue to use. I want to put the longer vane fletchings on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Anyone help me out? I don't want to mess up my arrows and I don't have the money to have the pro shop do them for me.

wow...[&:] i have no idea tbh. i love the Goat Tuff glue, but if you dont wanna pay to have a shop fletch them, you arent gonna want to buy the glue. It shouldnt cost much at all to do some arrows.

to fletch your own arrows, you're gonna need a fletching jig, glue, and vanes. If you're not willing to make that initial investment, get a shop to do them

You just gotta have the right equipment. If you want to spend the money, get a Bitzenburger jig with a right helicle. Then get you a bottle of Goat tuff glue, and a zip strip arrow fletching removal tool and have at it. It really isnt hard at all if you have the right stuff. Its no big deal at all to do, and it not rocket science either. Just a little experimenting.

Get a jig. See if you can get a used Bitzenburger, they last forever so a used one might save you some bucks. Its pretty easy to do, you just gotta have a jig, some glue, and vanes. Honestly, any crazy glue will work, Crazy glue gel is best if you go that route. I use bohning fletch tight platinum. Thats pretty inexpensive and it does the job on carbons. If you use wraps the platinum works, so does the regular fletch tite for aluminums.
