Default anyone video while hunting alone?

Hey all,
I've been looking at a couple camera arms that mount to trees for a self recorded hunt. Gorilla seems to have the cheapest one by far ($40), and I was wondering if anyone used any brand of camera arm, and how the experience was...is it hard to have to worry about just one more thing while hunting, or has it added an enjoyable dimension to your experiences in the woods?

I use a bow cam now. Its called "The Epic." I mount it to my bow sight though and not to the tree. It does work pretty well except in low light conditions. The still pictures are really clear and the video isn't bad either.

Of course I then learned to lower the arm, I threw this on for pictures.

As was mentioned it is very hard to do it by yourself.......filming cool odd stuff like non-target animals, scenery etc is a piece of cake but unless you are completely dedicated to getting it on film the second something walks out that you want to shoot AND film?![:-]
You wind up pushing the panic button mentally and I know even on the one doe I shot where I had mine set up, I felt like I had to make a decision to either FILM or SHOOT, and not both so I punted and shot the deer off camera because I felt like I was going to screw up the opportunity. And you sure aren't going to get the animal running away after the shot, and you'll be lucky if it's standing in frame AT the shot.

I wasn't prepared for that feeling and figured it would be no problem but something takes over when something you want to shoot steps in front of the bow AND camera.

I have some very basic stuff, consumer grade Sony camcorder and a Pine Ridge arm and it's great for what I want to do with it, super light and easy to pack in and out........I can film somegood stuff with decent quality but it sure works better when you are filming someone else hunt!
