Default Trail cameras.......necessary?

Not to me at all. Not trying to start an argument, just good old discussion. I don't have any and don't plan on it although I think it would be cool to check out the pics on the property I hunt. But I find them unnecessary, I really do.

Perhaps...but it's cool to check out the pics. Necessary, not necessarily, but a good tool, if you are looking for one.

Necessary, not in the least but very helpful when done correctly!

Necessary... no. Not for me, I like being in the woods doing my own scouting and seeing what's around first hand!

Thet aren't necessary by any means, but I think they add to the excitement of the season. Knowing there is a __ pt buck walking around.....keeps me in the stand longer. Some people say they would rather not know whats out there, I'm not one of them.

Not necessary, but look at the benefits. See the deer on the property, other wildlife, and the occasional tresspasser. Not only that, it gets me out in the field during the off season to walk around and learn a little more.

Necessary?

Well I have never killed a buck I have on camera. However I have seen 2, 3, and 4 year olds that I had either passed on or seen before via trail pics. To me it is a good tool in knowing your deer herd, but is not a necessary tool in hunting.

And oh yea they are fun as heck to run. It's like unwrapping a present everytime you pull the SD card. I used to just run 2 on the farm, I now run 4 and plan to get at least one more for the summer scouting.

I get what you all are saying. Yeah, it'd be nice to check out pics and I can see getting excited by getting some pics of nice bucks, but those nice bucks may not be around or seen in the daylight when the season gets going. I really don't want to check it out every couple weeks(getting lazy), change batteries and risk getting it stolen. A buddy has 5 and had one stolen this year.
