Take Down Recurve- 220 fps the last time I checked It.
73lbs at 28"
XX75 2216 Aluminum arrows tipped with a 125 grain 3 Blade Magnus Snuffer- 561 grains total Including the BH.
I find it incredible you're getting those speeds from that bow.

in my experience, i have found that you will get a pass thru if you place the arrow in teh right spot.
ID disagree with this as such a blanket statement.

I'd modify it to say "with the right setup". In my "limited" experience, you can get a passthrough even if you don't put the arrow in the right spot with the right setup.

100 % pass th roughs. I can't really remember not getting a pass through. I shoot through a bucks shoulder blades this yearand got a pass through and pulled the arrow out of the ground.

30+ deer, over 80% passthroughs...all with fixed heads (muzzy & magnus) 500+ gr arrows, 65lbs

Most of the non-pass throughs were poor shots(in knuckle joint, spine, etc).

Haven'thad a good location shot (ie: broadside, slightly quartering) not pass through since my very early years, and first few deer - with a bow that was way too long draw and not tuned. I had no clue what I was doing...LOL

I voted most of the time, there was no completely accurate choice for me.....though inthe last 10yrsyears I have very rarely had one not pass through.

I'm sure It had allot to do with the 73lbs I was pulling. I lost 12lbs of draw weight In my recurve from last year so I'm guessing It's much slower then that now but Its still zips my arrows out pretty good. I'll bet I still get a complete pass through though with the way It Is now (61lbs at 28") as long as I put that arrow where It's suppose to be. I also believe the BH's I'm shooting have allot to do with the excellent penetration I get.

Every deer I have shot with my bow has given me a pass through.
