Ok, so maybe there is a difference!!

Oh what a morning!

5:30am the alarm rings, really don’t want to get out of bed. But since I want one more deer for some jerky I decided I better give it a go, and boy am I glad I did.

It was just one of those mornings, once I got myself set up in my ground blind I could feel it. Around 7:15 out of no where I hear a deer blowing off to the north west, not sure what their deal was, since I wasn’t moving a peep and I was downwind of them. Bummed me out a little bit but they sure didn’t ruin my hunt.

At 7:45 I hear a deer crossing the creek behind me, coming up on the bank to eat apples. Wasn’t until 15 minutes later that I got a visual, it’s a doe. Now she’s at 30 yards behind a few trees munching away, she closes the gap to 5 yards, but still no shot. I had to sit still as a rock until around 8:30 when she finally decides to head off. Quartering away, she reaches my opening at 21 yards. I pick a spot, draw, anchor, release……Thwap! Absolutely perfect double lunger and I watch her run 80 yards then out of sight.

I knew that she was hit hard but I still gave her 2 hours, even though I know she was dead before I even lifted my butt off of my bucket. Easy tracking job, she only went another 5 yards and piled. Ended up being a He, but I wasnt really too upset!:D

I've killed a few deer in my day with various weapons but this was by far the best hunt I’ve ever had. Old Fred was with me today!:)

The spot I was hunting, ravaged with deer sign!

My trophy.

And with that, my season comes to a close!

I'd say that's a Bear Kodiak recurve by the looks of It and some cedar arrows. Congratulation's Al on a traditional kill!!!! Awesome job!!!!
