What a bunch of sissy's! Why shoot at 'em? I wait till they get under my stand and jump down and wrestle 'em to death.

As long as you can shoot your old bow and it can actually knock the deer down and your comfortable with it i dont really care what people shoot. I personally shoot a newer model bow, i like the advancement in technology.
However, i had to tell a friend of mine this year he wasnt allowed to hunt on my property with this old bear he picked up (the one with 4 wheels, 2 on the limbs, 2 on the riser) the arrows were bouncing off my 3D target at 15yrds. Im not having that!

My bow is 12 years old plus. Also have an old Dynabow that I shoot from time to time. Both can hit the bullseye and kill deer.
I can easily afford any new bow I want and Im sure one is in the future I just have a hard time spending $1000 plus when my old one does the job.
It is funny how allot of guys just starting out or guys who have only been hunting for a few years believethey needthe new top of the line bows and new fancy gadgets to kill a deer and how it makes the a pro. Its not the bow/gadgets its how you hunt.

I'd be afraid the cables would explode on that old thing.

I betcha don't.
I really don't think the bow has anything to with it, as long as you have confidence in what your shooting. As long as you know you can put the arrow where it needs to be consistantly, you're good to go.
By the way, I am getting a new bow this year.

I've been saying this for years! I took my biggest buckwith my old bow and haven't come close to it since I switched to the newer ones. Next year, I'm going back to "Old Faithful"
