RE: Some shedding
that buck will go gross between 145 and 150
|
RE: Some shedding
Just by looking at him with both sides still on his head, I would say upper 130's. 10 inch G2's. Definately will not make 150"s. That's a beautiful deer.

RE: Some shedding
66" Left side + 63" Right side + 14" Inside Spread = 143" buck.

RE: Some shedding
alright there's a few good guesses. I'll go take a pic of the shed and give you stats. In the meantime anyone else? It's always interesting to see the variance in scores from a pic.

RE: Some shedding
While you are taking pic, take one of your tape measure ran along the G2 tine please.

RE: Some shedding
anytime droptine249. I'll warn ya though. The local game warden lives down the road ;)
Hopefully a recent request by one of our main hunting and fishing conservation orgs will get implemented by our DNR. They have said there should be an added bowseason in my area. I am lumped into a region to the north that is rugged, hilly Canadian sheild which has not had high deer numbers in the past. It's only because the main interstate makes for an easy description of the border. I am to the north of the hwy in one of the most populated deer areas around but since I am north....no bow season [:@] I guess on the flip side if there was a bow season there may not be as many of those nice bucks running around. With only the 2 week rifle season, guys all head to thier camps around here (me included for the first week) and these deer are left to get big. |

Where are you from?
