The rut that happened here in Illinois was very slight in my area. It has always seemed to me that in December, there will be a few young does that will be ready to breed.If you find one of these does at this time youcan be sure that she is probably going to bring a buck by you.

I saw rut activity last weekend, had a 2.5 year old 8 chasing a fawn by me. I think this coming weekend could be reallygood considering the strange rut in most areasthis year.

I agree, add in that its muzzleloader season, that should have more deer on their feet. I'm hoping for a good weekend with the bow.
