Anybody shoot the new Limbsaver bow this season?
I'm no equip. guru so i have to ask what anyone thought of this new bow?
Did you use in the hunting season? That kinda thing. I got one laying on my dining table right now and am trying to decide my fate with it. Any comments would be appreciated. And with the recent spread of anger amongst us.. I try to make peace. ![]() |

hey duke,
if i'm not mistaken Todd/WKP is shooting that bow this year. i'd pm him if i were you. |
RE: Anybody shoot the new Limbsaver bow this season?
Duke if its sitting on your table why not equip her up a little and shoot it and then TELL US what its like??
|
RE: Anybody shoot the new Limbsaver bow this season?
He is.(wkptodd) I know.
I'll be gathering some intel from him as soon as I see him. Probably another few weeks or so at one of the shows. |

ORIGINAL: WesternMdHardwoods Duke if its sitting on your table why not equip her up a little and shoot it and then TELL US what its like?? I have a bow.. and although it's roughly 5 years old.. it shoots well. I'm not gonna switch if the masses really don't like this one. I'll just get rid of it. |
RE: Anybody shoot the new Limbsaver bow this season?
Does it really take that much of an effort to just draw it back and shoot a half dozen arrows through a bow to see for one's self?:eek:I gotta be missing something in the story here.
EDIT: I guess I overlookedthat you could possibly live in the city, leaving shooting it as not an option..my mistake if this is the case, just curious how come you couldn't shoot itwas all. |

RE: Anybody shoot the new Limbsaver bow this season?
Let me know how it works out Duko as I am going to be saving the best I can for a new bow before
next fall. As in a previous post im not sure you recall but my current bow's draw length can only go up to 27.5 and I am 29. Ive been mislead for a few years about it. If it wasnt for this site I probably would never caught it and a few members at the GTG this past June. T |

It's like this manufacturers first try.. I'm not gonna go shhot it all summer and then take it out with me 200+ hours in a tree through sleet.. rain.. and snow.. so when a buck comes by.. something goes wrong.. am I? I want to know how it did. Then I'll take a look at it more closely. Shooting 10 arrows through a rubber target in my yard.. does me nothing. Maybe you.. but me.. nothing. This is my first time ever asking a equip. Q in the forums. And by the responses thus far.. no wonder. [8D] Thanks Landon. And let me know how your buddy truly felt with it throughout this past season. And with that I bid a farewell. |
RE: Anybody shoot the new Limbsaver bow this season?
There's one here on island and word is that it's super quiet but I haven't had it to play with yet so that's all I know. If I find anything else out I'll pass it along. My main concern with it is the mass weight, it looks pretty heavy.

ORIGINAL: dukemichaels Yes.. but I want to know its performance throughout the season. I wonder why they never did catch on, if in fact they really are solid bows?[&:] |

Quiet as all get out, and from the 2 they sold from a local shop the guys were happy. I, personally, hated the grip and feel of the bow with a passion.[:'(]

RE: Anybody shoot the new Limbsaver bow this season?
So far we've established the bow is..
ugly quiet and nobody shoots it except a bud of Va.. WKPTodd.. and some dude on an Alaskan island. Well that's not good.[&o] |

RE: Anybody shoot the new Limbsaver bow this season?
people are afraid to try something new. i did shoot it but i didn't have the money to get it fro this season but i do plan on puchasing one hopefully very soon.
if i remeber right one of my buddies bought on this year i'll try to get ahold of him and see. my overall initial impression was that if i would have had the money i would have shot it this year. loved the cycle but this is just my opinion. |
RE: Anybody shoot the new Limbsaver bow this season?
I shot one of the first ones that came out. Cool little bow. It was a bit heavy, not as quiet as the center pivot bows, and reasonably quick but no barn burner. I thought it was a cool bow design, but honestly couldn't see any single advantage they had over any other bow on the market. No compelling reason to shoot it or purchase one. I don't know much about how long they last or quality of materials, but the fit and finish on the one I saw was OK.

RE: Anybody shoot the new Limbsaver bow this season?
I had the same thoughts as Rick James... walked around with the head of our R&D dept. at the ATA this past year and shot every company's new offerings, including this one. Shot felt real nice, fairly quick... not much recoil. Actually seemed like a nice bow. Tad on the heavy side, but not too much.
HATED the grip... it was like they made an exact copy of the Mathews grip, which is admittedly -- even by Mathews' most rabid fans -- the absolute WORST feature on their bows. Left me wondering... Why would you copy someone's ABSOLUTE WORST feature? Copy ANYTHING from Mathews, and you're gonna come out OK... but their grip? |
RE: Anybody shoot the new Limbsaver bow this season?
They got one at the local pro-shop. I think he took it in on trade, last year, that cant be good.[&:]
It is ugly, and I thought that Todds one review said that it was actually kinda loud?? Maybe I didnt read it right. How did you come accross this bow anyways? Its almost mysterious. |
