He's different, but he's a better ambassador for the sport than oh, say, Tred Barta? [&:]
Why is that? Just wondering...
Because he constantly takes shots he preaches should never be taken?

He flings arrows at moving animals in the hopes that he connects?

I like the guy because he does it his way, but I hate half the crap he does on camera.
If that's the criteria for not being a good ambassador, then Ted should be out too.
Could be.

I think I've only seen one show ever showcasing Uncle Ted hunting.

I've listened to him talk about the sport quite a bit though.

I agree with you. Hes never been about HIS way of hunting, just hunting in general which I respect. Barta gets real old with the "My way" crap.

I agree in the first season (I think it was), there were shots taken that made me scratch my head asking why. I do believe that he cleaned up that part of it last season though. I can't remember anything real bad. I don't think I started out liking him right off. But I think last season changed my mind. I now like his soap box speeches and his persistance especially on wing shooting. Some of comedy scetches I could do without. His shooting definetely improved.

I agree that the "his way" line does get a bit old.

You could be right, bud. I didn't watch last season based on the first few episodes I saw.

Maybe I need to go see if I can't track down some of the newer ones.

I am not a big Ted fan but the show with him and his brother bear hunting was great. This is not meant in a bad way but it was like watching a real life beavis and butthead. He should do more shows with his brother .

I like him. Get a kick out of his show.
Brucelanthier I got to agree with you on that episode, hilarious. That is the most censoring I have ever heard on that channel.
Sometimes he gets to be a little much of a salesman with his sponsers but hey if they were paying me to hunt I would probably do the same.

He supports our sport with everything he has.

He takes some questionable shots, his farms may or may not be high fenced, he is extreme....So what. He is doing it legally.

I may not agree with how he hunts, but I am grateful that there is someone out there so set on protecting our tradition.
Perfectly stated.
