RE: I never see anyone on the forums talk about these
I use mine on all of my lock-on stands but only for the first 3-4 steps. I just remove them every time I leave. I can't remember who makes the ones I have but they are the type that has the rope inside another rope with a loop on one end and you cinch it tight. Haven't had any problems yet (knock knock). Been using them a few years. Makes it a "little" more difficult for someone to "use" or steal my stand and I do emphasize little.

Lw and Millenium Hybrid
I love the Lone Wolf, and the self leveling feature. The seat leaves a little to be desired in the comfort department. However I bought just the Millenium Hunter Seat which I hang above the LW seat and I have the best of both worlds. Plus being 6'3" puts the seat in a more practical length for me.

I prefer the Cranford detachable Tree steps. Screw them in once a year and your done just clip them on and off. With extra lags you can setup several stand sites.
It works very well for me. Quick up and quiet too!
