That's actually why we have so many deer here in Illinois. It's that northwest wind that's so prevalent in the fall/winter. Deer travel from all over the south and the east and end up stuck in IL.. unable to cross the Mississippi River.

We've had way too much wind from the south and east this year which explains the decreased deer harvest in IL. [:-]
