RE: Following in brother's footsteps...

My daughter is the only freshman that dances varsity on a team that finished 2nd at nationals last year, maybe the year before(before she was a member) My daughter was a national champ last year in middle school though.

They won the Ky state fair in their division, best technical and best overall.
They won a competition in St Louis where they won one division,2nd in another and were the grand champions of the whole event.

They plan on going back to nationals(Florida) this year and winning but they are only going to dance 12 of the 14 members so my daughter being the only freshmen,is doing her damndest to be one of the 12,she really should be but being a freshmen might stop her.BUT,with that in her life right now,she isn't doing any dating right now(and I am ok with that)[:-]

There sure are some cute kids in this thread.I would post pics of my son but that would ruin the cute vibe.:D

Yes it is.Right now dance is her boyfriend, getting ready for nationals in Tampa Florida in march.Hopefully she keeps it that way but somehow,I doubt it.
Just remember, I'm not that far of a drive, and I'd get in a LOT less trouble scaring off the boys than you would.:D;)[8D]

My friend is dealin with the same thing with his little sister, just now starting in on the boys....it is FUN posing awkward questions and makin em sweat.:D

Might have to take you up on that.:D

Good luck to your daugher, TFOX. Even if things don't work out for her this year, it sounds like she has a bright 3 years ahead of her.

No doubt, and if that isn't enough, she played on the freshmen softball team as an 8th grader and is wanting to play again.[&:]Don't know if it will be possible but she is going to try.

Sorry Greg, this thread just kinda went off on a tangent of it's own.

Believe it or not Trevor my hair was exactly that color too until about third grade. Since their momma was a blonde until well into college (at which time it started getting darker, too), I'm hoping both my boys will keep theirs a bit longer...

And it's all good, Todd; heck, that's what weekend's are for. ;)We'll even let Duke show how little he knows about archery on this thread. [8D]

Yeah, Mike... it is pretty cool and exciting. What's neat is that Gabe copied his brother by just seeing him get up there a couple times as I played deer for him to shoot as Matt mentioned in my other thread about killing the turkey with Matthew yesterday... so it kinda surprised us that he crawled up there and took a perch to "shoot" his deerhe was watching on t.v.

This post rules! Great pics and stories. Not a hunting pic, but hereis my little girl with her first steelhead at the age of 2. She's 4 now and chomping at the bit to hunt with me. I think the early antlerless season next year might be the perfect time.

What a doll!!
