Some Buck stats

The two main sources of variation in antler development are soil quality and birth date effects.

70% of mature bucks (6 years old) are within the 120-150 class.
15% of mature bucks are within the 150 and above class.
15% of mature bucks are in the 120 and below class.

RE: Some Buck stats

What area were those stats compiled? What about genetics?
Those numbers sound pretty close for northern Wis. It takes a special buck to score over 150" in my area. I believe most would make at least 130 just by mass and main beam length.
Not many make it to 6 1/2[&o]

Seems to me that there have been pics of some pretty big bucks from NC on HNI lately...

Statistically...Germ has less of a chance at a P&Y deer in MI than you do in NC

This is relevant, how?????

Where would you go to kill a biggun?:D Somebody once said.....there are lies, damn lies and statistics. I've never seen a deer here from, from stand, that would top 120".

Where was the study information compiled, Gary?

Since it quantifies a "Mature" deer as 6yrs old they certainly didn't use PA in that study either. LOL :D

I could see that survey..........1....................1??
Anybody see #2? Gotta be around here somewhere.

I'm guessing those are Texas statistics?
