earlier i asked about a new bow...well ive found it

i went to the archery shop...and i looked at all the bows i had my list narrowed to, bear lights out, parker wildfire, hoyt avenger plus...and i further narrowd it to the parker and bear, then i took a look at the limbs, the cams, the weight, grip, etc...and the bear won every time

i liked the parker because it had the lifetime warranty, but this archery shop offers its own lifetime warranty free of charge as long as u buy it from them, so i finally have picked out what i want for christmas

-already got the arrows, broadheads, whisker biscuit, and quiver, as i already said in a previous thread but in thinkin about just getting the stock sight that comes with bears

any comments or constructive criticism...im pretty new at the bow thing, but some guys i went to high school with work there and they help me out bigtime

Did you shoot a bowtech yet? If not shoot one before you put a bow on ur list.

i have shot a bowtech, my friend tyler bought a bowtech liberty and i really liked it, but for me its really hard to choose the right bow, i am a very awkward and misshapen person, as odd as that may sound, and im right handed, left eye dominant, 6'3" with a 6'6" wingspan and my hands are the absolute largest ive ever seen, so getting the absolutely perfect comfort level is a chalenge..if u dont understand, then take my word, it is

Be sure to post pics when you get her set up. One thing you may consider on the sight is the size of pins that come on it. Most of the ones that come with packages have fairly unprotected, hard to adjust, .029" pins. You'll notice an increase in your precision if you get a finer pin (.019"), especially at longer yardages.

I'd think about going to a drop away rest after you get your feet wet, the Trophy Taker Shakey Hunteris a great entry level rest.

Bear is a fine bow, good for you Bubba, you'll be hooked in no time!

No criticism from me! You got your bow now you get to learn it and have fun...I was in same place your at 1 year ago.3 bows later and lots of practice I'm still learning and having fun...you will too.I did see some advice I need to take myself, the smaller pins are in my future! Good luck and have fun!;)

For an economical bow I would consider teh Parker Raptor. Go to Gander Mountain and take a gander!

Though, if I were you, I would check out ebay for some left over 2008 Diamond Black Ice's.
