Work & family....while I definitely don't consider these things obstacles I find myself lately with little to no time. Early season (Oct 1-Nov 10) I got out a few times but not nearly what I wanted. 75 hour weeks are a crusher and then when I'm off I want to hang with the kids so thatdoesn't leave a lot of time for hunting. Then when I do go I am so exhausted that I honestly don't hunt too hard, I relax, nap, eat, repeat.

Not a pity party, I am thankful for my jobs and bust by hump to provide for my family butitcan take a lot out of a person(I'm sure many can relate). The past2-3 seasons have been similiar.I end up living my season throughHunting.net it seems but I enjoy that as well,if I can't be hunting at least I can read about it youknow?

Gonna work on betterplanning and organization forthe next couple of pre-seasons and seasons and I think that could help.

The thing that challenges me the most is the quarry that I'm after. That is why I keep doing it year after year.
No fair! You stole my answer

They run deer with dogs and often the dogs end up on your land, running deer...

In the eastern part of NC hunting deer with dogs is legal. I just call 'em dog clubs. Some people call them dog hunting clubs but that really doesn't fit either I mean they are not hunting for dogs[8D]

This year my biggest challenge has been mature buck sightings (one so far, that stinks!). Other years it's usually yardage (5 to 10 yards out of shooting range).

My biggest challenge is fighting off boredom. I get bored easily, so if I'm not seeing anything after an hour or 2, I start getting fidgety. Not a good thing for a guy that hunts off the ground over half the time.

Anymore everything feels like a challenge to me, so I’ll just list off a few of the more annoying ones.

I can’t hunt where I want to because of the wind.
I can’t pick and choose which days/conditions I want to hunt in. Limited time means I have to hunt when I can regardless of weather.
The only food source I have to hunt is acorns and when they are non-existent (this season), I am so screwed.
95% of my hunting area is either field or bedding area. Not many options to hunt without putting pressure on the deer.

I'll add one more thing,

Not near enough hunting ground. My woods gets hunted a little to much then what I'd like from myself.
