You didn't go hunting?

The drawing for the area I hunt is at 4:30am. Which means I have to get up at 2:50am to make it. (shower, dress and drive a little over 60 miles)

I'll be hunting until January 31st, so I've beenpacing myself... I'll hunt hard the next 4 weeks and then start slowing down.

I still have a 2 buck tags to fill, I will be hitting it hard every chance I get until the 15th of Junuary.

Will be at it, but not with much confidence. Have hunted a newarea in IL 9 days and seen exactly 5 deer! Really starting to question my sanity in spending that $450+ on a NR tag, lol.

It has been slow all over this year from what I have heard. It only takes one deer to make that tag worth every penny

I have 2 buck tags left and as many doe tags as I want to buy...I got til Jan 3, does can be shot again starting Dec22-Jan3...Im still toting the bow on weekday hunts and I join the fun with shotgun on Sat, so between the two, I may get to fill all the tags!!

I've got a buck tag left plus one bonus, but I'll be picking my spots from now until 1/15.

I questioned your sanity a long time ago Robin. ;)

What county are you hunting in? I saw a bunch of bucks in late Oct. and early Nov. and now they're pretty darn scarce. The mid 130's buckand 120" bucks I passed a couple weeks ago would look pretty good right about now. I know the big guy is still out there but he didn't get to be 4.5 or 5.5 on public land by being a moron.

I never really did see any real chasing. Kind of weird.

Man I have been at it 100%.. I have a good shotgun buck and have seen some good bucks during archery but just can't seal the deal.. Won't shoot anything small, there are a couple big ones I'm chasing.. I have hunted in rain snow and wind now.. Yesterday got close but jumped the big one up on my way to my stand. I was running late due to a sick family and I paid for it..

But I'm hard after it. Taking a weekend off because of second shotgun but I'll be back at it next weekend..

I shot a 10 point 11-13, but I still have a buck tag and I'm hunting every chance I get.
Trouble is my time gets limited severely after Nov.
