RE: What kind of stand do you have?
My "Lock on" is a Chippewa Quest. I have 3 sets of chains for it so I move it from tree to tree as needed (sets up on the chain in about 10 seconds.
I also use a set of Lone Wolf climbing sticks for quick set ups.
Climber is a Summit Viper (hardly gets used since I got the Chippewa)

Have a few hang ons...remington, guide gear, big dog, ameristep....no ladder stands (well 1 two man ladder stand thats been in the woods since 2000), and a real cheapy climber, not sure of brand. I dont feel all that comfortable in climbers. Ill still use one, but prefer lock ons.
If I hunted public land, I'd use a climber.

RE: What kind of stand do you have?
Where I walk in and walk out with my stand every night and am constantly changing locations, I couldn't imagine not hunting with my Lone Wolf alpha Hangon, as it is self leveling for different shapes of trees. I have heard gr8 things about the Muddy hangon too, as it is self leveling also. Self leveling is a must IMO. I will probably get a Lone Wolf hand climber too for rugged areas that I hunt when I want to keep weight to a minimum, but a hangon is way more versatile than a climber as climbers are too restrictive in the type of tree one must use to climb it.
I use6 Lone Wolf climbing sticks and am usually 25-30 ft up depending on the tree.
