I don't carry more than one arrow because I'm afraid of a miss; I carry more than one arrow because I sometimes like to shoot more than one animal from the stand in the same afternoon.

ORIGINAL: Rob/PA Bowyer

ORIGINAL: ABarOfSoap

I used to think 3 arrows was WAY to many, until last year where i eneded up shooting all 3 of them and had to climb down and find them to continue hunting.
Did you change the blades?
Nope they were still very sharp.

Rob / PA Nailed it....I agree...I would always want 2 unless I spine shot something and the deer dropped a bit at release or I pulled..

I need 2 arrows too guys...Hmmm..Maybe I need 3.?.

A deer..a finish off shot...and 1 for a coon, opossum, or squirrel

What a sweet topic...

You guys know...We all could do it in "1" if your life depended on it..if you needed it to feed the kids...eventually..you would bring home the BACON.

I would lay my bow down on alot of you guys...put it in 20 yards without a freaky branch in the way? You'd feed my family.

I'll go with Rob/PA. I'm a realist.

I'd go so far as to say....if I dropped my quiver from stand.....and already had one arrow nocked.....

........I'd climb down and get my quiver (I always use a climber....but would still go down and retrieve it). I've had to use a 2nd, 3rd and even a 4th arrow, before. I shoot 'til they're out of range or not moving.

One arrow, not for me.
I spine hit a deer once and needed another arrow to quickly finish it.
That could happen again; if I was really lucky another curious (stupid / young) deer might come to investigate the deer I'd already shot and I would need arrow #3. It would likely duck at the shot (being suspicious about the dead deer laying there) and I would then need a 4th arrow.
Quik 4 quiver.

I take three. Two are for hunting and the third is my practice arrow. I always like to take one shot from my stand during the course of a hunt.

It's not a matter of confidence. I'm confident enough in my abilities to carry only one......BUT, what if the deer jumps the string and you spine it...? I want another one to finish the job, and that has nothing to do with my abilities.

There are just too many things that could potentially go wrong, and they are outside of our ability.

To many critters, i could kill 5 critters with my five arrows.

Say 1 Buck, 1 Doe, 1 Turkey,1 grouse, 1 squirell

I've spined way too many deer to only go afield with one arrow.

I'm confident in my abilities to only need one arrow for 1 DEER. But as others said you never jnow what is gonna happen.

1 arrow for me,not gonna happen. our archery turkey coincides with archery deer. plus i can take 2 deer in the same day. plus if i would have only had one arrow when i shot that coyote i would have not been able to take a chot on a deer that had came through
