bummed out

[:@]Man im kicking myself right now. I started another 10 days off today to hunt till the 30th until the first season goes out. After not missing any morning hunts since Oct 1 st if i was off work ,my batteries finally went dead this morning via some serious time in the woods this season. I couldnt get out of bed and needed a recharge. I woke up to a beautiful perfect frosty still Indiana morning :(Its on now, i feel recharged. :DIm just venting

I slept in, too;).

Ill go out this afternoon.....and morning/afternoon for the next three days.

No shame in "re-charging". Good luck the rest of your hunting time.

Some times you have to do just that. Take a break and recharge. I know I do.

I think an occasional break is the right thing to do to get things back in perspective. Don't kick yourself,(we'll do that when the time is right :D), pat yourself on the back for knowing when its the right time to take a break.

I slept in too Crik. I got a rough day at work later since I'll be off a few days for the holiday so I thought I'd catch up o some sleep.

Sometimes you need to do that. the other afternoon i wasgoint to go hunting but i was just feeling frustrated do to the last few weeks i have been having. So instead of going hunting I went out and shot 3 rounds of skeet with a friend. I feel much better now, and im looking forward to the next couple days on stand.

You had to build up your strength to drag that beast out this weekend:D

I know how you feel. I always regret every hunt I've missed for one reason or another. Leaves me wondering what I missed by not being on stand. Sometimes a recharge is necessary though to keep from getting burnt out.

My batteries are running a little low as well, but I think I'm good to go now. We napped a little in between hunts today. Last night was a fairly late night tracking the deer Aaron nicked. To assure ourselves it wasn't a dead deer. We're heading out now to pick up a few things and then head back to the woods in a few hours.

I'm appalled, no twin of mine would sleep in.;):D I couldn't do it unless it was a down pour. I have no tags for my area and no season in. Monday starts the lead slinging season, I'll be sitting with my land owner and camera.

Actually I do have a doe tag for Il, and tags for NC and one doe tag for lower PA but none for my area.

Thats all right all Sally. Go ahead and sleep in and live the life of luxury.

Some of us got up and tended to it. Not that I have anything to show for it.........:D

LOL....I slept in on the last day of the first shotgun season in IL. I hadn't seen a single deer the entire time. I'm hunting in Futon County with my brother.....and the morning I slept in.....he shot a HUGE doe. FROM MY STAND!!!!!!! That's what I get.....
