Camo?

Should i even worry about wearing camo when there is snow on the ground? Or should i just wear carharts. Ill be hunting from a stand and don't have to time or money to go buy Snow Camo.

Wear the Carharts. No sense in spending money on something you may only use occasionally.

Or wear your regular camo, you'll be hunting in a stand.

Without snow camo, don't even bother hunting. The deer will recognize that you obviously are not serious about hunting.

If you mean a stand as in a ground blind, Use the camo you got and have a good back ground of sticks, bushes, or branches. Camo simply breaks up your outline. If you mean a tree stand, no need for snow camo.

I have to second that Cougar

I guess our deer never got that memo.:D I cant not even start to count the number of deer ive shot while setting in the snow, with nothing but tumble weeds and brush behind me and some in front, wearing nothing but army surplus camo, . The key is, read the deer, and do not move till you can. You will blind in with the background, not thesnow. I had a buddy tag a nice buck with with a longbow, while setting on a log, in the middle of a snow covered CRP field.

I was kidding...

I don't own any snow camo, never saw the need for it. If you are in a ground blind, dark camo is usually better anyway. If you are on the ground, back up to a tree, and you're all set.

Personally I stay away from most snow camo. A lot of the stuff has UV brightners in the white dye that is used.

It sure looks good to us humans in the snow though. :D

You better be careful wearing brown carharts in deer season.
